While Iowa’s recidivism rates have been gradually decreasing over the past three years, we still face a significant challenge, with 34.3% of felons returning to the Department of Corrections annually. At Dre’s Place, we are committed to addressing this issue by providing comprehensive life coaching and entrepreneurial development programs that equip individuals in the reentry process with the tools they need for long-term success.

Our approach focuses on offering participants a clear path forward through life coaching sessions that emphasize a growth mindset, accountability, and the identification of potential legal income streams. Beyond this, our Entrepreneurship Development Program offers specialized training to help individuals align their skills and talents with viable business opportunities. We guide participants step-by-step through the process of launching successful, legal businesses and securing stable employment during and after this journey.

By empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources to create sustainable ventures, we aim to provide not only stability but also the opportunity to build generational wealth and reintegrate positively into their communities. This dual approach reduces the likelihood of reoffending while stimulating local economies and strengthening community bonds.

While individuals have career, relationship, health, and financial goals, they also need accountability and encouragement to stay on course.
