Reducing Recidivism
Iowa recidivism rates have been dropping over the last three years, but we are still sitting at 34.3% of felons returning to the DOC annually. Providing entrepreneurial training and walking those in the reentry process through the steps to launch a successful, legal business aligned to their skills and talents, up to and including finding employment through the and legal income streams through the creation process, will not only give felons more stability and less reason to reoffend, but it will give them the tools to establish generational wealth and reintegrate in a positive and impactful way back into their community.
Our Goals
- 1. Teach the formerly incarcerated individuals who come through our program invaluable life skills and mindsets, finance and business, help them reestablish themselves within the community, and provide a safe and positive living environment for a smooth reentry process.
- 2. Reduce recidivism rates and strengthen the local economy by helping the formerly incarcerated individuals who come through our program successfully start and become employed by small businesses within our community.
Life Coaching with Martin and Halle
The reason that people do not follow through on changes or actively pursue their dreams is not because they lack desire, time or resources. People have career goals, relationship goals, health goals, and financial goals… But they also have doubts, fears, and distractions. They need accountability and encouragement. Through life coaching sessions with the individuals who choose our reentry program will have a team to assist them charting the course of their future and then helping them get there. Growth mindset focused life coaching combined with assistance identifying and developing potential legal income streams will provide our program partners with a true map to reentry success.
